Agreed. I don’t mind Sam either. His edit is definitely not portraying him as the low key “glue guy” he said he’d be. Easy target post merge.

Rome is beyond annoying! And Genevieve telling him about the plan was dumb. If he didn't purposely throw that challenge then he really is too dumb to be aligned with.
Sol not looking for the idol after basically being told he was getting voted out seemed dumb as well. Who cares if Rome follows him around? If he finds the idol it's his unless they are going just let Rome take it from him.

Rome has to be the player I hate most in the entire history of Survivor. Not just a villain I don't like - I truly despise him as a person, not just as a player.
I know most players keep in touch and have actual friendships, but after the game ended, I would totally cut off contact with him. He's an arse.
And yes, if I were Sol, I would've looked even harder for the idol with him following right behind. Ignore that douche.

Pretty sure he was looking but didn’t find it. But I also think he got annoyed.

This episode finally felt like the show that I grew to love again. Didn't feel stale like so much of the new era.

Kishan overplayed, Genevieve finally shows up in a big way, Sol lives to see another day pretty solid episode.
Beating a dead horse but man is Rome annoying. I feel really bad for Teeny because now she seems on the outs. I think Genevieve wants to work with Sol and has Rome as a pawn to do what she wants. Teeny needs to tread carefully which is a bummer because I like her.
There’s been some really interesting tribe dynamics so far this season which is fun vs more recent seasons. Nice to finally not have a loser tribe.

I think big plays pre-merge are not worth the risk. If it works, you get a target on your back before most of the cast even knows what you did to factor that in for the final jury. If it doesn't work, the numbers are so small that it is easy to get yourself out.

As much as I hate Rome, I think his presence on the cast this season is a good sign for the New Era of Survivor. In prior podcasts, Jeff said players like Russell Hantz wouldn’t be selected for the cast but there was Rome acting like a big bully that rivaled Russell on his worst day.
There has been very little focus on race, gender, or sexuality this season. Unless there’s a big twist at the end like Teeny is a trans or something, the casting seems focused on game play so far.

Sol has a lot more self control than I do, I would've had a really hard time not kicking the shite out of Rome with the way he was acting. He immediately became one of my favorites.
I like Kyle but I don't know if he has the demeanor to go all the way in this game.
Sue's acting job with the paint was so bad, I wouldn't have bought that shite for a second. The paint pot was a nice touch by the shows producers, it made getting the idol a little more tricky.

Great episode! If you stopped watching Survivor because of woke agendas or whatever, you need to go back and start watching this season from the first episode.
