Been looking forward to this. It has potential and hopefully they'll have good success. I just hope they don't downplay Superman or refer to him in very vague terms.

I've seen the pilot about a month ago, a bit campy but reminded me of Lois and Clark back in the day. Solid pilot and yeah, Supergirl is cute as hell.

I would guess that it is a rights issue, I think in the pilot they only show some red boots or something, don't remember off the top of my head. they never say his name so it might be a rights issue.
If they do have the right then they may have to pay to use his name versus getting the super girl name cheap.

Yea, the promos last night on CBS were laughably bad. I was on the fence about picking this up for my rotation, but I'm solidly in the nah I'll pass camp.

I watched the pilot and the ways that they refer to Superman didn't stand out as "avoiding" anything. I'm pretty sure that they did say Superman at some point. If they didn't, they did it in a fashion that was so seamless that it didn't stand out as avoiding anything.
This isn't a Superman series, so don't hold your breath for him to show up.
It was a fun pilot. I'd especially recommend it to folks with kids. I'd think that young girls would love this series.

Pilot looked pretty good. Not perfect by any means but looks better than arrow did
