John Stewart? There have not been Green Lanterns on the show. If you mean Jonn Jonnz you’re wrong.
As far as politics, they’ve made it clear that Supergirl is not on the “Prime Earth”. Earth 1 has largely stayed apolitical.
As far as “lesbian batgirl” this is not Barbara Gordon or Cassie Cain. Katie Kane (Batwoman) has always been gay just like Maggie Sawyer and Renee Montoya.

I just realized something halfway through the 2nd episode.
It looks like they're going to have two villains against each other this season.
If you look at the wedding invitation in Fiona's apartment it said, "Fiona and Manchester." If her fiancee is in England, that means Manchester may very well be Manchester Black, who is supposed to appear this season...and Liberty murdered his fiancee.

This show irritates me. I was hoping it would be more akin to the flash which has very little of this bullshite. Supergirl crams is down your throat every episode that I’ve seen. Wanted my daughter to have a superhero show to watch but I ain’t explaining gender fluidity to a 7 year old.
