I haven't been on the SNW bandwagon like others, I've found the focus and girl-bossing of Chapel to be annoying, hated the song & dance number and found their attempt to make Uhura a brainiac feels... off.

All that said, the first episode of the season was a big throwback to good writing. They had a strong moral dilemma, fun with time which gives the viewer the chance to make their own decisions and didn't rely on new, miraculous tech.

I hope the rest of the season is like this.

fricking love this show.

Right now, the only character I loathe is Carol Kane's annoying know-it-all bullshite character.

These Kurtzman era Treks seem to be leaning more and more on "classified" missions or keeping events off the books as a way of deviating from canon.

I can't wait to see how they cover up Spock being such chick-bait
