Whatever you do, watch Greatest Hits and parts 1 & 2 of Through the Looking Glass together. You will be sorry if you don't. Take my word for it.

Didn't really like Expose'.

Expose is the second worst episode in the series (Looking directly at you Across the Sea).

It was produced for the sole fact that people were complaining about a lack of knowledge on the other members of Flight 815, and, imo, it was a shitty episode on purpose.

frick Nikki and Paulo.

whaaaa??

I mean I'm not saying it's the best or anything, but without saying any spoilers it tackled a few questions that LOST viewers were very curious about, and gave us more background on some particular people.

There is no way, no how that any episode is worse than expose. It had 2 shitty minor characters that nobody GAF about, and it didn't do anything at all to advance the plot. It was a throw away episode. It could easily be skipped on a rewatch with no repercussion.

I liked Lost all the way through, but thought it took a considerable nosedive after season 3.

Without spoiling:

The episode received mixed reviews from critics, and a divided reaction from fans. Review aggregate website Metacritic gave the episode a score of 58 out of 100, indicating "Mixed or Average Reviews". The score was down on the previous episode's score of 92 and is the lowest rated episode of the season

Some critics were very disappointed with the episode. James Poniewozik of Time gave the episode a score of 40, stating "'Across the Sea' took a series that is deeply and richly psychological and character-based and moved it into the realm of the allegorical." Maureen Ryan of Chicago Tribune stated "For a lot of reasons, this was not an episode that goes in the Win column. It was actually seriously disappointing, if not disheartening.

"Across the Sea" is one of the most polarizing episode of Lost. Writers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse said on their podcast that even they were shocked by fans' reaction to the episode, stating they had received comments ranging from saying "This is one of the best episodes ever" to "You ruined Lost".

Only got to watch "One of Us" over the weekend. I kind of saw the whole Juliet being a spy thing coming. I'm not sure why Ben would be interested in how they live on the beach though. Sometimes I think she wants nothing to do with Ben and other times she is still holding on to hopes that he will get her off the island.

It's been a hectic few days. Got a lot of school work to do before finals and now I have to go on travel for work for a few days next week.

Watched Catch-22 last night. Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) never disappoints when he's featured. Leading Charlie into what could have been his death just to possibly find Penny was really interesting.

On a side note, I can't tell if I find Kate that attractive. I'm actually glad that Juliet is around, I think she cleans up a lot nicer.

There's a reason why he was one of the fan favorites. He always delivers.

Watched D.O.C. last night. Juliet's made it clear that she's doing this against her will, but she has to if she wants to see her sister again which I doubt Ben would ever let her off the island. I'm starting to feel Jack should have let Ben die when he had the chance. He will regret that.

you've got about 4 more eps in this season. I can't wait to hear your thoughts after you finish it up.

And he never will. Desmond is fricking awesome.

Seeing some of your thoughts, you're about where most of us were with your line of thinking at that point. This is definitely a show that's fun to try to theorize about, so it's cool that you're getting to do that. Since we can't really discuss whether you're right or wrong, tell us some things about where your head is...

What are your favorite characters?
Least favorite?
Thoguhts on those characters?
What you feel like is going on overall (the point of the show, so to speak)?
Other thoughts about major plot/subplots?
Favorite episodes so far?
Etc.

Favorites - Locke, Desmond, Sayid
Least favorite - Kate, Charlie, Michael (if he comes back)
Locke - I feel for what he's gone through and he seems to be at peace on the island so I root for him to stay and not get off, but I don't understand why he doesn't want anyone else to leave.
Desmond - Tried to prove himself to Penny's father and ends up falling into a bad situation. I can relate to him on a personal level.
Sayid - will do whatever he has to, to get off the island.
Kate - she likes Sawyer, but likes Jack. She's a typical slut
Charlie - Annoying, constantly trying to prove himself to Claire
Michael - sold out everyone for his son which I don't blame him, but the group could have helped get him back imo

It's hard to get a feel about what is going on as a whole. A lot of the characters seem to have their own thing going on. I would expect them to ban together to try and figure a way off the island, similar to the early episodes but they seem to just be making the island home. I feel like the Others are making the island home and Ben feels threatened by the men. He wants to study the women and possibly harvest their babies since their group can't reproduce.

I'm still a little lost with the Dharma Initiative and where Ben and his people came from and why they chose that island. Juliet is eventually going to be exposed and Jack won't be able to protect her which I think will lead to her death. They can't have another alpha female around Kate. I think the main love story is between Jack-Kate-Sawyer.

Favorite episodes so far are The Man from Tallahassee, Every Man for Himself and Live Together, Die Alone.

Watched The Brig last night. Some of what Naomi said about the plane being found with all their bodies made me wonder. What if they all are dead and the island is just a creation of their postmortem subconscious? But how are they all on the same island?

Them dying in the crash and being trapped in purgatory was a very popular theory from the very first episode.

And yeah, finish the season tonight. The Brig onward is like LOST the movie and one of the most glorious stretch of episodes in the series.

I know I keep saying this, but I wish I could go back to where you are (watching it for the first time). Just take comfort in knowing that despite what some people say, most things about the show and most questions you have will end up being answered, or at least making sense in some way or another. So if you get to a point where you feel like you're wasting your time, you aren't (although I don't think you'll have that problem as you seem to really like it so far).

you're dead to me I hate Juliet with a passion and I hate Elizabeth Mitchell just as much on Revolution.

But on the other hand....

definitely can't argue that. well stated.

I've always had a thing for Evangeline Lilly. And might as well add pics to this discussion.

Also, good Lost babe thread from a few years ago.

The Juliet smirk we all hated so much:
