They kind of caught lightning in a bottle with the original SG-1 series. The cast just came together perfectly with extremely endearing characters that people fell in love with. The series is actually a lot better than the movie that it's based on. The movie is actually really silly. Anyway, it just seems unlikely that they recapture something like that again.

Hopefully it will be good, but the article indicates it will be shown on some new online streaming service, Stargate Command. Hopefully it will also be on SyFy or Netflix/Amazon Prime because no way would I pay extra to watch it.

To the other points. Honestly even if this is crap and I have to pay to stream it I'll still watch it. I'd take just about anything at this point if it possibly jump-starts the franchise again
