the storm troopers gearing up and getting ready definitely had a saving private Ryan storming the beach look I think.

And the best part was there were actually people inside the costumes instead of that CGI bullcrap in the prequels.

This is what got me jacked.

Would be awesome if JJ opted for less CGI as an homage to 4,5, and 6.

You mean like Lando flirting with Leia?

The Star Wars Rebels cartoon had an adjustable blade (I don't consider the cartoons cannon though).

Ironically, they have said that god awful Star Wars Rebels show is actually canon while the many, many books written are not.

The lightsaber is already getting discussed way too much everywhere.

Yep, the cartoon is on Disney XD which makes it canon, while every book and/or comic book is not canon.

People bitching about it should just skip the movie.

Has it been mentioned that the voice in the trailer is Andy Serkis?

I'm in my 30's and it is clearly made for children. It is just so bad. And the animation is pretty terrible too. I lasted about 3 episodes before giving up on it.

I generally do skip movies I bitch about beforehand. I still haven't watched Guardians of the Galaxy because I hate that anti-hero bs. I want a clean cut, always moral superhero. Luke and the Jedi are what I love about Star Wars, not Han Solo. I could do without Han.

You'd hate Game of Thrones then.

I've read this series since 2001 and have read the first book 3 times. Ned was my favorite character, then Rob, now Jon. He keeps killing the only moral and upstanding characters, though Rob and Jon each did break a sacred vow/commitment. I cannot watch the show - I've tried too many times. Too many changes.

They destroyed Robb's character.

And Jon's. That actor is awful for the part. Ned was the only perfect casting/writing but the latter was primarily because they mostly kept to the books in the first season. Had Ned survived the first season, they probably would have butchered his character somehow.

We can nitpick every change but I'm liked some of them. Tywin Arya scenes in S2 are some of my favorites in the show and wonder why Martin didn't have that in ACoK in the first place.

Plus I think Charles Dance would be perfect as a Star Wars villain.

It is admittedly hard to translate anything from book to screen. My imagination will almost always trump what is actually made into film. Lord of the Rings and The Godfather are the only movies on par with or even better than the books. Possibly the Hobbit as well.
