The only part of the movie that blew me away was when the SJW sacrificed herself sending her ship into light speed and destroying Snoke’s. That moment without sound was amazing

Just got home and I agree. That was great.
Rest of the movie was super mediocre. There wasn't really anything there that drew me in. You could make it an 80-minute movie and I don't think you would lose much.

I wanted more of Snoke. I was itching for the scenes to go back to him and they fricked that up...

Lazy writing. Why have no other ships done the kamikaze before, ever? Just another instance of deus ex machina that run rampant in this film.

Saw it for the second time today. Walked out after an hour. It sucks.

Supreme badass sith Lord...
That can't read an edgy millennials mind right before he kills him. Such a cheap death.

Roaad went through some of the "fresh" critic ratings on RT and it looks like the critic consensus of "92%" is a lie.
They were giving 2 out of 5 star scores a "fresh" rating.
Negative reviews were put as fresh.
It isn't nearly as controversial as people are making it out to be.
The critics even view it as bad. RT is just lying about the score.

It's obvious that they didn't give a shite about the "rules" of the universe, and just made shite up as they went along to tell a story.

"Okey dokey, looks like it's time to have Kylo Ren kill this chick since she doesn't want to play ball and turn to the Dark Side and...where's that clattering sound coming from? Are the bolts on my throne coming loose again? Goddamn it, if I have to call my throne repairman back in just two days after he promised me that the bolts were replaced and tightened and the throne was good to go, his dumb arse is next on the chopping BLOC...AHHHHHHHH!"

They did it in RotJ. Admiral Ackbar got all bummed about it, but it took down The Executor. It was actually pretty ridiculous that a single fighter took it down.
Eta...At least in TLJ it’s a pretty big ship taking down a way bigger ship.

This just isn’t the same thing. Usually ships aren’t able to get that close to a bridge before they’re shot down.
Any ship in any battle ever could have lightspeeded through any enemy ship with little to no casualties.

I think this whole trilogy has been a bit fricked up.
Sorry if this has been mentioned in the thread but Rian in a interview mentioned that when he was awarded the movie. There were no storylines or continuous plot.
He had a clean slate. Here is the interview
It's one way to ensure that fan's can't figure out everything.
JJ was very very conservative with TFA to the point it was the fricking A New Hope. At least Rian, had a unique storyline albeit didn't answer any questions and didn't feel connected. I guess.

To think both Death Stars could have been easily have been destroyed by jumping to hyperspace. Yet they devote a whole movie about finding it's weak spot.
No it didn't.

it had laser sword fights.

Agreed. Go read the reviews. I did.
There's a fresh 4.5 star review that says:
While dedicated fanboys might love it to the rest of us it's good enough to sit through once.

Alright just got out
I enjoyed about 45% of the movie
Kylo and Rey stuff was good.
The lightspeed kamikaze was really cool although it kinda shite on old movies.
Snoke needed to be snuffed out.
Everything Finn and Rose was super dumb.
I want to punch Rose when she stopped Finn. That would have been a great redeeming part for him.
Leia part in space was corny.
Why would laser shots need to be lobbed?
Why couldn't they look out of the windows to see the transports?

People talk about how bad the Rose/Finn plot was but I think the Holdo plot may be worse.

They even showed that they could in Snoke's chamber.
