Only considering the “original” movies—Shatner, et al. Wrath of Khan is, of course, the best. We watch Final Frontier simply to heckle. “Excuse me. I couldn’t help noticing your pain…”
I think the first movie gets too much hate. They didnt have their bearings yet. Tried to make a 2001 kind of thing and it was too sterile. Lost the charm and charisma of the original series. The story was not bad. My husband has said he was just so stoked to see the Enterprise again, that he really did not care. I think a lot of original series fans felt that way.
