Watched the Rome episode.
We stayed in the Trastevere part of town that he focused on at the start of the episode. When we were there, we couldn't figure out why every restaurant's pasta in that section of town had the same flavor. After watching Tucci, I'm thinking it was that goat cheese that he said is used throughout the neighborhood.
Something Tucci doesn't show is the amount of heavily armed soldiers you see stationed on street corners throughout Rome. Maybe they pulled them out during Covid, but a couple of years ago they were everywhere.

I've been to Rome 3 times, and I don't remember seeing heavily armed soldiers on street corners.

We saw this everywhere:
At any tourist attraction, and in the neighborhood squares and shopping areas.
