Spinoff: most hated character from a movie?

I just rewatched Saving Private Ryan and I don't remember being as furious with someone as I was with Upham. Dude was responsible for most of his squad dying, including captain Miller. He wouldn't run ammo yo anyone in the firefight and wouldn't run up the stairs to help Mellish. Frick him.

I really never got the extent of hate for Nurse Ratched. She was a bitch but certainly not an all time great movie villain.
