Simply said that after watching the trailer he was no longer interested in seeing the movie, and said why...which would have been no different than if he'd have said he disliked the animation style, or character design, or thought the voice acting was poor.
It became a back and forth when dawgfan called him out specifically:

You're an idiot for still not getting this thread is the way it is because of the people that made the movie. Stop blaming the people that noticed the bullshite activism and take it up with the bullshite activists.

At this point I have to assume this is being willfully obtuse.
Step back from the specifics of any of the politics and just address the issue at hand.
Why do politics continue to get discussed on this board? Is it because some people can't shut up about politics, or is it because movies and tv shows have become far more in your face about inserting politics into everything?
I, and others, have been around for a LONG time. If we were simply only interested in injecting our politics into these discussions, they'd be a record of doing so that goes back a decade or longer. I'd argue this is a relatively new phenomena based on how hard studios have decided to start to push their political massages.
I'd suggest you and others, whose politics align with what the studios are doing, either can't/refuse to see it because it aligns with your worldview so it doesn't come off as "political" to you, or you DO see it and you've decided to argue against anyone that dares notice and point it out.
FWIW, I'm sick and tired of this too...but my answer to that isn't to ignore the blatant insertion of politics into entertainment. The minute studios go back to make movies for the pure joy of entertaining the largest audience, we can all go back to talking about them on that basis alone. Until then, we get this...or your solution which is where we're asked to either shut out eyes or mouth and accept the new normal.

BTW, gender dysphoria is a serious mental disorder and it absolutely shouldn't be normalized or encouraged. People who legitimately have it need psychological help.
No other subgroup of humans have a 50% occurrence rate of attempted suicide requiring hospitalization.
