It's amazing how you guys refuse to address the question.

The question ISN'T "does the image stay up on screen for a long time?"

The question ISN'T "does this become a huge plot point in the movie?"

The question IS, "If this stuff is as unimportant as you guys continue to claim, why is it being inserted in these movies and tv shows AT ALL?"

If it's so short, and so unimportant, and so meaningless then why insert it? This is a major motion picture, and an animated one at that. Every pixel was hand crafted and put in place...so this isn't some issue of the camera accidentally catching something. It's 100% there, and was 100% placed there on purpose. Maybe stop pretending we don't see it and make a good faith attempt at why it ought to be there?

Fact is, it IS important, the creators knew for a fact people would see it and they wanted people to...because they understand that politics is downstream from culture. The secondary question is whether or not you guys actually grasp this, or are you attempts here just sad gaslighting?

Chances are they're hoping that the majority of people won't be bothered one way or another by it. They're banking on the people who specifically will boycott the movie, will be outnumbered by the viewers who would want to see the movie just because it's "inclusive".

I tend to agree.

But to suggest there's NO reason is simply absurd. One can debate how influential it will or won't be, but to stand up and stamp around and start whining that anyone that dares notice something that was inserted on purpose into a movie is the one causing an issue is laughable.

FWIW, I think this continues because those that care (the ones inserting it and the activists they're signaling to) are joyous about its inclusion. Most people have no clue, so they don't notice and continue to pay to see this stuff. Sadly, there are some that see this stuff and STILL financially support it. There are only a small handful, so far, that see it and actually act on it. So, it will continue until that equation changes.

And even though that % is small, you still have the act like you've seen here...pretending they're seeing things and crazy for caring, when it would have not been inserted at all if it was meaningless as they claim.
