I agree with his assertion that this is not the First Order "Flagship" that Snoke has based his palace on (this is likely the Eclipse according to the novels.)

I agree. People comparing one movie to an entire trilogy that's ingrained into popular culture are stupid. We haven't seen the last two movies yet.
But TFA is an awesome Star Wars movie with alot of potential and I'm excited to see where is goes.

I feel like people are hating on this picture, but will end up liking that thing once the movie comes out.
People laughed at BB-8 saying "look at that stupid soccer ball droid" and he turned out to be extremely popular.

I have to agree.
I was one who hated BB8 just from previews, but loved him on the movie.
And I liked TFA.
All this is good-hearted ribbing on my end.

Not all. You will always have a large group of fans who are upset because they devoted a major chunk of their existence into the novels which are no longer canon.

Of course. They won't be able to please everyone and that's fine.
I'm too young to have seen the OT when they came out but I watched them before the PT. I basically grew up with the PT but like the OT more.
I recognize the flaws in the prequels but there's also some good to them.
At this point I've just come to the conclusion that there are different eras of Star Wars and things will need to evolve. The pictures of the new vehicles show that and I think they look pretty good. We'll see what comes next.

If that little hamster is played absolutely straight with a normal voice like Rocket from Guardians I'll have no problem with it.
If it's an obnoxious idiot thing with a voice like jarjar I'll happily eat crow.
Much more concerning is the frog nuns on Luke's Island.
