They seem to have made up the entire Lorde is Randy idea on the fly as a response to the Spin comments. Probably had no plan to go that way initially. I say this with no evidence whatsoever to back up my opinion.

Great episode cause you can really see where people making up this transgender shite just to get access to better bathrooms. Which I can fully understand. Hell our bathrooms in middle school and high school didn't even have doors on that stalls.

I love the continuity this season. Also, Lorde recording a song written by trey is just awesome. I guess she must be a fan of the show.

He burned it down prior to episode 1 this season. It wasn't shown in the startup but since he was in the business and they weren't going to need school any more he torched the gym.
Just making sure I didn't completely miss something last season. This is three episodes of alluding to this incident now so clearly it's going to pay huge dividends down the line (given the continuity kick this season).

I think Butters may be in for a big episode this season. He is not acting like his old self.
But, I am Lorde ya ya yah!

that episode sucked.
I'm extremely disappointed in South Park this season. If they're setting up something great, then good. But right now they just seemed to have lost it.

Loving this season so far, especially the continuity. I just hope it's a gimmick for now and not something permanent (which I don't think it will be). I remember how big of a deal it was back when they went from third to fourth grade since it was finally jumping forward a little.
This episode felt like more classic South Park for me...even though it was kinda centered around current events, it was more about random jokes and humor, which is often when SP is at its best.
The scene with Randy and Stan in the garage when he showed him how he turns his bathroom humming into Lorde songs was fricking amazing, and when Stan passed out, I had to pause my TV from laughing so hard.

People with anime avatars are a special case, that goes for here as well.
Also.. How the hell is SP considered so "transphobic"?
SP broke new barriers with pushing the gay envelope and in many ways I think made gay seem very acceptable.

After seeing the "six days till air" special on the show, I believe that.
They make these things up quickly.

That is probably better than anything from SPIN

Hahaha. The freaking new IOS is just terrible. Copy paste does not work and will paste old links instead of the one I just copied. I actually made one of those diaper pails. It's not a big deal and we end up saving a ton of money on diapers.
I fixed the original link. Here's spin's follow-up article after last night's episode:

In case you haven't heard, SPIN featured prominently in an episode of South Park that premiered last night. Normally, we'd be honored to appear in South Park — in a way, we still kinda are — but we probably would've rather it happened under different circumstances.
We wrote a post about last week's episode, "Gluten Free Ebola," which featured a gag of Stan's dad, Randy Marsh, dressing and performing as New Zealand singer/songwriter Lorde, that got a whole bunch of South Park fans riled up, saying that we were overly sensitive and missed the joke entirely. Truth be told, they may have had a point — we were probably a little (unnecessarily) defensive about a joke that wasn't really as much at Lorde's expense as we originally thought.
Anyway, in startling turnaround time, South Park responded to the minor controversy with a whole subplot in last night's episode, "The Cissy," in which intrepid SPIN reporter "Brandon Carlile" (chortle) investigates the aforementioned "Lorde" concert. In the new episode, Lorde turns out to actually be Stan's dad, living a double life as a female geologist (so he can use the superior ladies' bathroom at work) and teenage pop star, glossing up his vocals with drums and Auto-Tune so that he ends up sounding like the "Royals" singer. Spoiler alert: "Brandon Carlile" uncovers the story but deletes his exposé, presumably panged by his conscience.
Can't say we saw this coming, but that's what makes South Park the show that it is: It has never taken slights lying down, and if we criticize it, we ought to be prepared to be fired back upon. Fair enough.
All told, it was actually a pretty funny episode. Anytime Trey Parker and Matt Stone want to release a full-length version of not-Lorde's "Feeling Good on a Wednesday," we'd be happy to premiere it on our site.

Am I the ONLY PERSON who noticed the Breaking Bad references with Randy hiding the money in the AC and talking about doing it for Stan and his family, and then Stan having a Jesse type moment when hes confused in the hallway. Almost identical music as BB used.

I also learned that "transmysogony" is a term from that feminists are outraged link.
Transmysogony.

Is spin popular? I've never heard of it until someone posted that article.
I guess Southpark is in a transition phase. They're eliminating their old fans and going after a new fan base. Bummer.

Never seen Almost Famous? SPIN has been around for like 40 years.

I'm sure not, as it was pretty obvious.
