This episode was amazing.
Way too amazing.
I don't know if any show has ever improved that much from one week to the next.

I thought the last one was pretty good. Bill Clinton's Gentlemans club was one of the best moments of the season. The talk with Bill and Butters at the end of the episode was hysterical.

Best episode of the season by far.

I thought last week was pretty terrible. Again, I enjoyed last night's episode, it was just slow.

Last week's wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good. They were clearly planning to do something Bill-centric and Trump's election messed it up.
Yesterday's was great:
- Skewering the craziness over 'female comedy'
- The call-back to original Butters
- Member Africa
- Darth Trump
- Garrison getting revenge
- Kyle realising everything was his dad's fault
- Ike
- 'Member the Cold War?'
- Boris Johnson

Garrison claiming PC principal helped create him, so PC culture helped create Trump.
Ike finally got relevant.
Sheila at the very end was funny. WHAT WHAT WHAAAAAAAT!

just don't get why the same people every week complain on the South Park threads. Just stop watching the show if you don't like it. Simple.
I don't live in give up America.
South Park is far and way my favorite show of all time and Trey Parker is my third favorite comedy writer of all time.
You can go frick yourself. I will continue to watch South Park until it is canceled and I will continue to shite on it when it's quality goes down hill due to conscious decisions to change the entire show.
You could take your own advice and just quit reading the thread.

I hope all the plot lines have satisfying resolutions, I think they have too much going on to close it out in just two episodes.

I am in the club of "I am enjoying these SP episodes, but I like the old format better."
I like where they seem to be going with everything, but someone earlier summed it up perfectly for me when they said that no joke is worth ten episodes of build-up. It seems to me like Matt and Trey seem to want to get into more grandiose storytelling, like with the video games, the two- and three-part episode arcs, and now these last two seasons. And that's okay, but it's just not going to hit with me as much as the old formats did.
I still love the show and it's still appointment viewing for me every single week.
My main problem with all of this is that some of the paths the stories are taking are just weird as frick, and don't make much sense. So Mr. Garrison is obviously Donald Trump, but he's also still Mr. Garrison. I hope they haven't painted him into a corner with that. the trolling this is funny, but it's getting stale for me. I think Member Berries is one of the greatest things SP has ever done, but that story is getting so weird and all over the place that I'm not even sure what they're going for anymore.
But I will always fall back to this: If this somehow ends up a giant scheme by the Crab People to take over the world, I will be happy and all will be forgiven.

I 100% agree. What would be awesome is if PC Principal and Garrison were both crab people. The real Mr. Garrison is locked in an underground prison, escapes, and literally fricks the crab people to death in the finale.

I also have to say that as bad as this season has been, the member berries are one of the funniest things ever on the show. They kill me every time.
And Garrison going back and telling everyone who doubted him to suck his dick was awesome. This was a good episode

Member when South Park was about the adventures of four elementary school boys and their quiet little redneck mountain town?
I member.
I think this is what the the Member Berries are really about. There are some more obvious references like poking fun at nostalgia, and MAGA'ing, of course.
It goes back to the "You're Getting Old" episode from 2011 where everything turned to shite. Trey and Matt are feeling like that band from the 90s that wants to make new albums, but every time they go on tour the crowd just chants their one big hit from 1997 until they end up playing it again. It's gotten a bit stale for them.
They tried to do movies, etc., but South Park is what they keep coming back to for their bread and butter. They never thought an internet cartoon they played around with in the 90s would last this long. It's a mixed blessing for any artist with one big hit. They get a paycheck for life, but they also don't want to be pigeonholed into doing the same thing over and over and over.
I'm not saying they hate what they do... they also love South Park, but it's gotten a bit old for them. They are trying to expand a bit with the writing, characters, linking plots in a series, etc. There is only so much you can do with "the adventures of four elementary school boys and their quiet little redneck mountain town" (see "Simpsons Did It" episode from 2002).
SP fans are chanting for them to play the same hit song over and over again. My take on the Member Berries is them giving the finger to that (and playing their new shite for awhile... before they play their hit song again and collect their paycheck lol).
