Exactly... I mean, if it was part of his original storyline, great, no problem.
But don't sit up there and claim that it wasn't political then go on about the problems with gun in this country and what causes it.
At least it's not as bad as I thought it was. But I do think he played it up from his original idea in order to send a message about Newton.

Watched the episode last night, pretty good.
I don't really know what the school shooting added to the episode, I imagine it will be perceived negatively by a lot of people.
The Otto scene was really hard to watch. Will he flip? He can take a beating, but can he take that everyday?
This show has a weird way of making you feel sorry for really bad guys. When Clay was reading that book, I felt bad for him....even though he is scum.

Weak episode. It's a TV show you watch it and like certain characters. And I realize its a motorcycle gang but the characters are less likable each episode. So Clay is going to turn? I was hoping he'd somehow make it to Ireland.
I think Sutter is blowing the entire series. School shooting scene was so eerie to watch. It's seems like over stepping the line is the main goal. So this episode we got prison rape, rape porn and a school shooting. We shall see what Ep. 2 holds.

It took me two sittings to watch this episode. It was a lot to digest, and I'm not sure all of it served a real purpose.

FWIW the previews suggests that the gun was one the Sons sold at some point. There can be huge, huge consequences from that.
