And I'm about to start the last episode. Brilliant series so far. Paul Bettany is incredible as Ted Kaczynski. Though I can't help but think that this series really humanized him. This guy had legitimate ideas on the nature of technology and man in the 20th century. And those ideas ring even truer 21 years after his arrest in Montana. I don't know how accurate the scenes with the kid and his mother are, but it made you feel like this guy could have been a normal human being, with a wife and kid. But his anger for all the sins visited upon him during his childhood and adolescent years just couldn't be contained.

It's rather sad that a brilliant mind such as his put its talents toward violence instead of toward helping mankind.

But he thought he was helping mankind. That’s what makes him a psychopath

I had this exact same takeaway. By the end of the show I found myself worried about the size and condition of his prison cell.

A testament no doubt to bettany's portrayal, but perhaps a little too soft on him.

Overall it was a pretty fantastic show, I only wished I was younger and not so familiar with the unabomber. Had that been the case, and the show been more of a mystery to me It would be up there with some of my favorites. Very solid and very well done.

At the time of the events this miniseries portrays, I was 8-10 years old. I have vague recollections of the coverage of his manifesto as well as his capture, but beyond that I don't remember much about the actual bombings. I have a much more vivid memory of the Oklahoma City and Olympic Park bombings. Not so much the Unabomber. So this series was relatively fresh for me.

I thought it was awesome as well. I actually googled a .pdf copy of the manifesto to read out of interest.

Thought Worthington and Bettany were fantastic. Really well done piece of work.

Pretty sure it is on the Discovery Channel, and I agree that it was a very well done series.

Discovery on demand.

I just finished the series. Really enjoyable and worth a watch. I had some of the same feelings as others here. The show certainly humanizes Ted which seems like primary theme of the show. IMO.

I would like to have seen some time spent on his time in prison. I've heard he has maintained correspondence with Tim McVeigh and the original World Trade Center bomber.

Watched it live and had a thread going on it. Loved the series also.

Awesome series. Want to read his manifesto now. Don't condone his actions, but a lot his philosophy discussed in the show definitely seems to fall in line with the bs today. Dude was pretty interesting and really intelligent.

Really good show. That lingquistics chick was hot. Did this remind anybody of Mr. Robot? The manifesto had some similar language. I bet Esmail was influenced by the case, if only slightly(and maybe even unknowingly).

Yes. He's presently incarcerated in a supermax prison in Colorado.
