So, I need to watch Dr. Who...where to start?

Where could one acquire said show. Not all seasons are on Netflix, and my procurement funds are, how do you say...zilch...?
Desktop is DOA for the moment, so BitTorrenting (if I knew how to do that to begin with) is out.
Any fans want to help a fellow Anglophile out?
Or provide guidance?

Wow, I'm kinda stumped here.
If you had a working PC it would be easy.
If you had $ it would be easy

Amazon has the rest. And all of the current season is OnDemand.

I'd start with the 2005 reboot, which is on Netflix I believe outside of the last season. The first couple episodes of the first reboot season are pretty cheesy, but I would start from the beginning there if you are wanting to watch it through period. If you are looking to see if you like Dr Who at all, it might be better to watch some select episodes.

As I understand it. You might have to pay for the eps from this season. And some of the specials are outside of their season.

I've watched about 5 episodes in, to where we meet the dalek, in the one on Netflix.
I like it. And even if I don't, I'm gonna watch it for cultural immersion and ability to talk about the show with others.
Yes, a woman is involved in my reasoning.
Several women, but it's a decision I've made that if I'm to be a proper Anglophile, I need to be knowledgable of "the doctor"

Woot!!!
I'm in luck then.
Should I start at the beginning, or the most recent incarnation?

Start with Eccleston.
You'll like Tennant even more.

Tennant saved my Dr. Who fanism(?). I hated the first couple episodes and just skipped to the next season and bam, I loved the show
