I never watch SNL ... have not watched it in decades other than a few YouTube clips. None of shich were as funny as they touted.

Counting down the nanoseconds. Can't fricking wait. Its like Christmas Eve and I'm fricking Ralphie waiting for his goddam BB gun.

I wouldn't watch that episode even if I was the musical guest.

I thought she was kinda funny years ago, the first couple of times I heard her. I quickly grew tired of her played-out schtick. Now she's just irritating.

Over/under on number of guys who “didn’t watch (SNL sucks since youth) but happened to be walking by the TV”?

I know the type, but I'm not one of them. I've just gone from loyal fan to watching only the episodes with hosts that i like.

Also lost a lot of interest after the exodus of Hader and Moynahan.

This isn’t an indictment on her, but it will be bad, and here’s why:

They blew their load on the Donald Glover episode, when they had a lot of time to write for that. This is the end of the season, and Tina Fey is hosting next week. Because next week is the season finale, and it’s an alumni, they are probably going to go all out for that one. So I’m sure they don’t see it this way but tonight is by all accounts a filler episode. A blow off episode if you will.

That was a terrible episode. Rockwell, Farrell, Chadwick, Larry David, John Mullaney, Bill Hader, Gal Gadot, Ryan Gossling, James Franco were all better.

I do agree with your premise that this week will be terrible compared to Tina Fey's episodes, but that's because Tina Fey is an extremely talented writer, a great sketch comedian, and a HoF SNL alum.

SNL gets bashed alot, but this show is actually still amazing when they have a writer as the Host.

Mullaney, Fey, Chapelle, etc...

The writing room at SNL is abysmal, and Colin Jost is a talentless jack, but the actual comedic talent is still very high in the cast. It's tough to watch them waste some of these cast members on a terrible writing room.

Looks like I'll be the only one watching.

There won't be anyone else who can post about the quality of the episode, so I'll try to let y'all know how it went. May be a couple days since I DVR it to watch later.

I watched some of the Donald Glover episode to see what the fuss was about him, nothing was funny and I have no idea what the hell his "music" is supposed to be.

I have it dvr'd.

Thinking I'll do a quadruple feature. The her and bill hader flick first, then the Goldie Hawn and her flick and then the one out now I'm fat but pretty and then home for a recorded SNL

That's what I call a winning Saturday night...

Amy Schumer is not funny at all. She's also disgusting.

Other than the cold opening, weekend update, the music performances, and the monologue, the sketches were pretty great with Glover.

I’ve had this conversation with a few people like me who like the show. It’s OK to admit the Larry David and Mulaney episodes were terrible. People who enjoy “smart comedians” hosting have such high hopes for them but if the episodes are bad, they’re bad. Those were bad.

I have no objections with the others you listed being as good as or better than Gambino.
