This past weekend, SNL spent the entire show making fun of the Kardashians, but they slipped in a digital short by Please Don't Destroy (Ben Marshall, John Higgins, Martin Herlihy). SNL hired the group as writers for this season. Herlihy is the son of former SNL writer Tim Herlihy, Higgins is the son of SNL writer/producer/Fallon announcer Steve Higgins.

SNL has 20 cast members right now. Had to be a bitter pill to see them give time to three new writers when the cast was fighting just to get into a Kardashian sketch.

You forgot to do inb4 that’s still on? Hasn’t been funny in years, etc etc.

Busy morning. I'll do it next time for the TDers who set their Google Alerts to "Tigerdroppings SNL".

good sketch. pretty funny.

it's a crazy thing, comedy based on original creative ideas and not politics or especially political figures like a president with orange hair and his supporters.

The whole episode was very cringe, except for this short, the bachelor sketch, and the Aladdin one. And though it was a nice change of pace, the "everybody is making seltzer" idea felt like it was a year too late. It was still way better than anything Mooney used to pump out.

Wondering if the hiring of the PDD boys was a part of Beck Bennett wanting to leave the show. He and Mooney had sort of filled the void left by the Lonely Island guys.

Beck Bennett
Maybe, but Beck still appeared in his fair share of sketches outside of Mooney's awkward madness. I feel like he, Moffat, and Bryant were appearing in almost everything.

Those guys are pretty funny. They’ve had a few similar sketches go viral on Twitter that are great

The good and bad of that skit for SNL is that it's not normal SNL fare.

You really should have described the short, as I almost didn't watch it. Glad I did. The premise is spot on.

That was pretty funny... definitely a year too late, but still funny.

the bachelor sketch

I only recognized half the folks in that one. Cena, Chris Rock & Blake Griffin.

Wasn't Griffin married to Kim K?

The girls' night out video was pretty funny.

Funny, a little stale, and already dated material. Par for the course for SNL.

The short was pretty good. Far better than the quality that SNL has been putting out for years, but that isn't saying much.

Kim Kardash was not funny and her arse is big fat & fugly. Nothing was funny. Wasn't that the doc that played on Grey's Anatomy in the bachelor skit?

Unfunny. Bring back the crews of old.
