Rewatching Snatch for the dozenth time.

So many good scenes & characters, and wondered what other films you appreciate that fit this genre (other than more Ritchie films)?

Lock, stock and two smoking barrels is basically the exact same movie as snatch but lower budget. If you like snatch, you’ll like it.

Layer cake kicks arse too. Doesn’t have the humor as snatch but it’s great

Layer Cake is an awesome movie.

Sexy Beast is a good one too, but a step below Snatch, Layer Cake, and Lock Stock.

For those who have watched, is Wrath of Man at the level of these films or not really?

Fwiw I also liked the Gentleman a lot.

I’ve never seen it but Get Carter is supposed to be original British crime film.

Croupier is solid but not as good Snatch. I thought Bronson was only okay but others liked it more than I did.

Unsure if Locke really fits because it’s not about crime but just a working class guy having a terrible day, but I liked it a lot. And it probably cost like 50 grand to make.

Seven Psychopaths is an awesome flick that is definitely a first cousin of Snatch in the film universe. It’s somewhere between Tarantino and Ritchie in terms of style.

My favorite Pitt performance. He must’ve lived in a gypsy camp for a month to get that good at the role.

Statham is in most of those. I liked Wrath of Man (2021), Trailer on YouTube
which Guy Ritchie wrote the screenplay and directed. I streamed it one night last week. I'm a sucker for Jason Statham movies, especially the ones where he's a one man wrecking crew!

Other great Statham movies that Ritchie didn't make:
The Transporter
Crank
The Bank Job
Safe
Redemption
Parker
