Pretty much. I just hope this isnt the beginning of the next stage of government where the FCC starts pressuring networks to remove shows they don't like. Dystopia might disappear as a genre as it comes closer to reality

The only definitive thing you can gleam from that is maga is saying that he isnt one of them.

If you remove the part you are mad about the sentence doesnt make sense

He’s a liar and a hypocrite as shown in this thread. It’s very hard to have discussions with someone who’s always going to lie and never discuss in good faith. The poster who melts about too many posters injecting culture war stuff into the board has flooded it with that very thing for over a week now. This is what you’re dealing with, a very low person.

This is someone who’s argued that if you don’t provide him with visual, molecular level proof of something happening you can’t prove it happened. Of course the standards for his nonsense are completely different but this is how he operates.

Hes describing the actions of others. He never says that the shooter was maga. If you think he suggested it that's fine, but he didnt state it as a fact.

Sinclair can cut the show if it wants, but sending a demand letter like this is exactly what so many ppl on the right railed against the left doing.
It's not a good look. It's petty. Just cut the show and be done with it. ABC was probably going to cancel the show once Kimmel contract was up anyway. Late night is a massive loss leader now.

Actually the FCC showing it still has teeth is a good thing. Now there’s nuance to what their limits are on something like this but they’ve been assent for far too long and should be more focused on news outlets than Jimmy Kimmel. It looks like a stunt to me, going after low fruit like this but they’ve stuck their neck out now and people need to hold them accountable for the more important stuff happening with news.
