well that was just fricking stupid. i loved that they finally put a disclaimer at the bottom admitting it was bullshite but flashed it super fast, like something the Simpsons would have done.
Wow. That was cheesy. With the wholesale reality show sellout and now this total bullshite presented as fact, Discovery and all of it's channels have lost it. I'm sure the ratings are good, but they have no soul at all. Might as well cue up Ow My Balls.

I have to admit, I think I'm going to skip Shark Week this year. Little burnt out from the same thing every year. I may watch one or two of the best so can anyone recommend which special to watch?

Apparently the only thing real about the Megalodon documentary was that camera man Mike Bhana is actually a shark documentary camera guy IRL.

That was pretty bad. They did an ok job with the boat being attacked. (at least they dropped the camera) Still seemed staged
The rest was pitiful. The fin was so fake looking the WW2 picture was better but still lame. The coast guard footage reminded me of a scene from Anaconda 2
I do believe that we still are going to discover some crazy shite from the ocean and who know maybe a Megaladon that is a scavenger at the bottom of the ocean....
What is messed up is how many people will probably believe this like the Mermaid crap

I can't say enough times how shitty this was. Trying to pass off speculation as science is shitty enough, but then presenting FAKE evidence to support it? How is this not illegal? But if anyone wants a good chuckle, head over to the Discover facebook page. The overflowing nerd rage is pretty delightful.

Meh, some idiots over there for sure, but it doesn't compare to the bitchfest on facebook and twitter when they released the mermaids doc.
