John Carter was one of my favorites this year. I'd see a sequel.

A real Home Alone 3. Apparently Hughes wrote a script for 3 and wanted to shoot 2 and 3 back to back before Mac got too old but it never came to be.

that is an older film that could translate quite well for a remake/sequel.
