I couldn’t believe it when I found a Movie Rack that was still open. Walked in and they were selling everything to close at the end of the month. Ended up with 9 movies for $25. I was especially happy to get Nightcrawler so cheap.

I can’t imagine ever buying a dvd again, personally, but if that’s what you like, looks like a good haul.

I dont ever buy dvds anymore, but these specific movies, cheaper than it would cost to rent, were worthwhile to me and my wife to but a disk outright.

DVDS and Blue Ray will be of more value for movie buffs going forward. I’m not a sky is falling person, but they’re already censoring older streamed series. Physical media is now the only way to legally own those.

Plus I havent seen Whiplash or Prisoners and its cheaper to buy them on dvd than to rent them on digital.

I still buy the occasional Blu-Ray every now and then if it’s a movie I really like. You never know when it can come in handy, like the last time I moved and it took a week to get the internet installed.

But DVDs? I’ve been spoiled by HD and 4K for too long. I tried to watch an old DVD not too long ago and it was horrible.

This. I’ll gladly pay a couple more bucks for the better quality

I wouldn't mind letting go of my dvds but I'm too lazy to put them up on ebay. Can't imagine they'd be worth much.

I keep dvds and prefer actual game discs cause i like to have hard copies.

Putting everything in the cloud seems like recipe for a mini disaster.

I’m glad I didn’t, considering I’m in Lake Charles and Suddenlink won’t fix shite, even with representatives basically putting that exec on trial yesterday.

Watching season one of Chappelle Show right meow on a DVD player I haven’t used in years.

They definitely aren’t worth much monetarily. Hell, I’ll take them off your hands if you really want to get rid of them.

For whatever reason, I’ve always liked physical DVDs. I own about 1500+ movies, of which about 80% are DVDs. I still buy them here and there but nowhere near like I used to. And covid helped curb that somewhat as well since there haven’t been any being released.

I suppose it’s a personal preference thing, but I do still like DVDs too because not everything is always available to stream or rent.
