How was Signs not mentioned? That movie has some creepy arse parts and is pretty good movie overall.

i had eye surgery about a year ago (not laser, real surgery, with scalpel). The whole time i couldnt but help think about fire in they sky while they cut on me.

Read the story behind the screenplay entitled "Night Skies" written by John Sayles (at the time writing slop for Roger Corman) at the request of Steven Spielberg. It was based on this Kentucky story and fictionalized into a cheap, B-movie script.
But that cheap script basically spawned ET, Poltergeist and Gremlins and inspired parts of other movies like Rain Man and Twister.

Fair point. I was focusing too much on the "Alien Abduction" genre and not "Alien Invasion" genre, but he did say "UFO" so that should work.
I will defend Signs even with the ending. Until they leave the basement that's a 9/10 thriller/horror movie.
