When diversity is forced, it's unsettling and it ruins. You're absolutely right that the plot and doing justice by Star Wars fans was tertiary to getting a sociopolitical message across.

The actress that played Rose was so out of place I wanted to vomit. When I realized she would be throughout the movie I wanted to up and leave.

The titty milk scene summarized the movie for me. In star wars movies, there have always been choices to show us what people eat, what they do for fun, how they interact with each other, to give depth to the universe and show how it is different from our own, and I love that aspect of the movies. It adds so much character. Of all the things they could have done in this regard in this movie, they choose to show Luke drinking titty milk.

Just symbolic of all the directions they could have gone with this movie and choosing the literal worst path.

The humor, much like many other aspects of this movie, was forced and out of place. These directors don't understand why the original trilogy was great.
