That's a wrap, folks. Oathbringer is done at 461,223 words. Still much work to do, but we have a first draft. November 2017 release date.

First

Then...461,223

That is all

Just started the audio book for #1. It's a little difficult to follow while doing other things. Only 1 or 2 chapters in so far.

Yea, I can imagine. Needs 2 reads to even get a good idea of everything going on.

I can't wait. I just finished rereading the first two and I guess I'll have to do it again as we get closer to November.

Hell. Yes.

About to start Sanderson's books in the Wheel of Time series. Should be finished by the time this comes out.

That means like 20 years for the whole series?

That guy is writing like 4 or 5 books at any moment and this is his Opus so yeah, it will be a while. I would be annoyed if his other stuff wasn't also great.

Sanderson has written so many good books since 2005 it's crazy. He's like the Samuel L. Jackson of novels. I wish he would just focus on the Stormlight Archive, but maybe by working on different stories helps him be more productive.

At least he's not like George RR Martin or Patrick Rothfuss. Those aholes need to take some Ritalin, chug Redbull and get to work.

I don't know your opinion on the later Jordan books, but when Sanderson picked up the series, it really hit the ground running. (It's crazy to think the last three books were once planned as a single book.)
