I'll never forget my buddy Jon was dying of stomach cancer at 24 in 2013 and RJ went and saw him in the hospital and keep in mind this is AT THE HEIGHT of breaking bad might have been right before or after the finale aired but RJ didn't have to do that. RIP RJ and RIP Jon.

Yeah, his note was very sad... All of the major BB people have made statements, although haven't seen Odenkirk do one, but Cranston, Paul, and Norris put something out.

TMZ is the outlet that said suicide but the more legit sources all seem to be saying that the cause is uncertain or not yet released. Maybe it wasn’t suicide?

The tributes from his co-stars on BB mention it was a suicide as well.

When it comes to celebrity news/gossip you should take TMZ as the gospel until proven otherwise. Their sources are impeccable.

Wow, just saw he posted a video before his death (don't know when as video doesn't state) but he discusses mental health and pushes people to get help if you're not ok.... hope to inspire people to tell us how you really are.

Sad

I think I read his manager basically stole all the money he made on BB

He had a table at a convention at Lamar Dixon in December. Seemed very nice and personable, worked well with the public.

yeah he famously said he paid more in taxes than he made from BB and that the manager is "still around"

I knew Jon through some buddies and remembered that. Didn't know Jon well but I thought of Jon when I saw the news about RJ Mitte. RIP to both.

There’s an interview with Luis Moncada who played one of the Salamanca Twins… he was with him days before and they talked about his depression and what was bothering him. He wouldn’t disclose specifics as he said that’s personal. You can tell the dude is distraught.

Did he deliberately overdose?

Luis is a real one he tried EVERYTHING including asking him to stay at his house until he got everything figured out that is the best kind of friend anyone could ask for.

Yup, he's definitely hurting... Made RJ promise to call him when he got home and that call never came.

I've been following Luis for a while now, very cool and humble guy who fell into the BB role after prison and never looked back.

No he didn’t. He also seemed to be very active as an advocate for people with disabilities and his foundation. Not someone who came across as being down or depressed.

There's two components when you're evaluating someone for level of suicidality that can be tough to manage: hopelessness and impulsivity. People usually don't talk about those components with people around them (and even sometimes not in therapy either, out of shame for the thoughts/behaviors). And if they're high on the impulsivity scale when it comes to a potential attempt, they can literally be outwardly doing really well then have an attempt (that can feel "out of nowhere").

TMZ is usually accurate majority of the time. They only rarely get it wrong.

So sad and unnecessary. Explains the comments by those that knew him that he was being pulled in multiple directions.
