I'm kindof annoyed by his recent surge in popularity. He may have been hilarious on The Office (UK), but I haven't been impressed with any of his other roles.

I like Extras far more than The Office. I wasn't a fan of that Lying movie but I liked him on Curb a couple of weeks ago.

He is a funny guy. I find him more funny in unscripted situations.

Out of England was genius. Just brilliant comedy.
Out of England 2 was actually pretty bad.
Overall, he's one of the most impressive comedic talents out there.

Yep. They still occasionally run episodes on the HBO Comedy channel. I also bought the DVD collection at Best Buy about a yr ago for only $25. Damn funny show.

His output has been great, but he himself is just absolutely hysterical. I think The Office is the greatest show of all time - inclusive of Seinfeld.

That was the episode that prompted this thread. Watching that episode, I was letdown by Gervais' attempts at humor. O well.
