I truly hated every character but still ended up binge watching the whole thing after it ended. So I guess they did a good job if I could hate everyone and still want to watch it. I had hoped everyone would die in the final episode except jesse.

there were a lot of screwball scenarios/scenes in the early portions of the show. it really takes away from the show on rewatches
Let's not forget the magnet caper. And the ridiculous Gus half-face laugher.

This show is a solid 3 out of 4 stars. And they proved they could make 4-star, auteur type of material with classic episodes like Ozymandias. But the show also has a lot of flaws and isn't close to as good as the fanboys act like it is. The whole thing with the eye in the swimming pool was an early indication of silliness.

On rewatch some of the supposed serious stuff is quite comedic.
