They ran a marathon of Season 1 on MLK Day. Really looking forward to Season 2. Alex Borstein is joining the cast, so a good show is getting even better.

Bump. Solid episode to start the season.

Season 2 premier is available free on YouTube. They did the first 2-3 episodes like that last year IIRC. It's the only way I will officially support the show because I'm not paying for Peacock.

Alex Borstein just hit this series like a freight train.
Laughed my arse off watching those two play off of each other.

Damn, this last episode, Girls Night, is absolutely comedy gold!

One of the funniest female comedians on TV with one of the funniest male actors on TV.

Bump
Just started watching this show. Season 1 was hilarious. Season 2 has been awful. It's like they took everything that was funny about season one, and made it a subplot. Now, instead of focusing on the alien, the theme of season 2 is all girl bosses. The little girl that is Max's friend is absolutely terrible and unlikeable, and is lecturing Harry constantly. Then you have episode 3..."Girls Night"
Fuh - king terrible. This is a show about an alien trying to kill everyone, but then gains empathy and decides to try and stop the whole earth from being killed. So episode 3, of course, is about how awesome the women are in the town and oh wait! They are underpaid compared to all the men, so they "break in" to the mayor's office and steal all the town's budget and salary info, then throw flyers from a helicopter all over town so that everyone knows about the gender paygap...it has nothing to do with the show, does not move the plot forward, and is an obvious attempt from whoever wrote it to send some sort of political message. There were hints of some virtue signalling at the end of the first season, but they didn't take over the story. This show jumped the shark with this episode. It's such a shame too, because Alan Tudyk is fantastic in it.

E4 of S3 had a similar exit from the main storylines of the show. There seems to be a few eps each season which awkwardly push a certain agenda. Then it gets back to proper story telling.
At least, I hope that's the case. I dunno if they planned on this show continuing this long, and it now feels they're just making it up as they go along.

E5 - a better effort. Not great though, but mostly on point. The 'bird' alien thing is being played up a bit too much. Why would aliens appearing like Earth birds be expected to act and commune with ALL Earth birds? She even says their planet is 60 light years away...Her species shouldn't share much of anything beyond a general appearance. That's just lazy writing.
Feels like the writers are running out of ideas, hate to say.
