The best part of Rogue One were the effects and cinematography. Everything else was easily forgettable. It was more of a Star Wars art piece imo.

Oh and the Vader scene was bad arse.

Rogue One is a mediocre vanilla movie until the last 10 minutes…which is just ANH fan service

I don’t get the love

The main characters sucked

I would call it a good movie. Mads Mikkelson was great as usual. Didn't really care about the others. It seems great compared to the other steaming piles of shite they call Star Wars movie now but it's just good when you are objective. This board's fascination with the movie is annoying.

100% agree on that.
The space and beach battle scene at the end are beautifully done.

and i'll say that the first time i saw it in theaters i was kind of like, eh, whatever. Looked pretty, but as others have said, i didn't remember any of the characters.

but the more i rewatch it, the more i love it, and i am really looking forward to Andor series.

It's very flawed, but it's also a love letter to the OT, which is why it's so popular.

I can’t believe how good it is

Is it really good????

Sure, it looks like a masterpiece compared to the rest of the garbage most of the the Star Wars franchise has been since the original trilogy.

But just because it stands out in a pile of crap doesn’t mean it is great.

Felicity Jones was great in that. She should have been Rey.

Agreed.

Obviously I need to pay closer attention but I just realized who/what Andor is. I thought it was a planet….

Movie was mediocre, but as others have said when you compare to the garbage that has been put out since the original trilogy, it seems better than it is.

It filled a gap and they did an okay job connecting things so a lot of fans felt satisfied with it. In reality, it just wasn’t that good and isn’t memorable.

Andor will be a disaster because they are openly stating it will be a political metaphor. Watching it just supports the making of more crappy movies and shows like this.
