The burned out car is a Suzuki Esteem.
Does he have one of those in Omaha too?

My thoughts:
* Ham Solo has a big ole shite sandwich to eat. Not only was Kim NOT in a secret office during BB, she doesn’t give Solo an opportunity to grasp at straws claiming a yearly phone call to give Saul legal advice. She was living a mundane life in Florida for six years with NO contact. Lol
* I love these last episodes. Not sure what some of you were expecting. It’s like folks who were thinking El Camino was going to furnish powerful game changing revelations. That wasn’t its purpose. Vince Gilligan and the writers are movingly bringing to a close not only Better Call Saul, but 14 years of the Breaking Bad universe.
* Come on. Marion with a dialup modem on a laptop? I know she’s an old lady, but dialup was essentially dead by 2004-2005. By 2010, cable modem was everywhere. I could see her not having wifi in 2010, but surely a cable modem.

Anyone else notice when he opened the computer, the Saul commercial reflection in his glasses was in color?
Yep. Much like the cold open of the pilot episode when Gene is watching the Saul commercials on VHS.
Eta: the closeup shot of Gene’s face and the color reflection from his glasses was so damn good.

She's still paying off the Discover card from Jeffy's exploits in ABQ. Can't afford cable.

Solid episode. Seeing Kim again was great. The show is just so much better when we see her and Jimmy. However, as I've mentioned in previous threads, I have a problem with her moving on to Florida and Gus and Mike allowing that to happen. No chance that would ever happen. I also didn't like her meeting Jesse. That was so unnecessary.

*And yes, Aaron Paul channeled the old Jesse Pinkman tonight. Great scene with Kim, tying together him telling Walt in BB that Saul got Emilio off “scot free.”

I looked closer at the burned out car.
That was his Esteem in the ditch back in ABQ. Can see the ditch wall in the background.
He drives a Saturn Aura in Omaha.

Great show that showed that Kim has a soul and Saul is what Chuck thought he was...just a lonely, sad skipping Jimmy.

Rhea Seehorn should win an Emmy for this season. She has been the best actor in the show for a while now, her nonverbal cues are incredible.
Anyone else notice Kim ditched her signature triangle earrings? The ones her mom stole for her as a child.
Kim has completely moved on from her previous life. Coming clean was cathartic and her sobbing on the bus was an expression of relief. That chapter is finally closed for her.

I wonder who the DA is now It’s gotta be Paige or one of the other girls who Kim knew and worked with As in, she isn’t sure if her old friend would prosecute her At least that’s how I interpreted it
The DA is the older woman featured in some earlier episodes. She is interviewed in the American Greed episode.
She seemed pretty measured and pragmatic. And while they were not close friends, she seemed to have professional respect for Kim Wexler. And as Kim said, there is absolutely no physical evidence and the only other witness is her fugitive ex-husband.
So yes, there’s a chance she may not use the confession to prosecute Kim criminally.
Yes, as Cheryl Hamlin said, she could sue Kim civilly, but Kim did not take the Sandpiper money. Looks like she’s a copy editor for the sprinkler company, basically another corporate drone. I don’t think you can lose a home-assuming Kim is not renting-in a civil proceeding, so there’s not much there for Cheryl to get.

Ham's excuses should be enough drama to make up for the falloff of the last 3 episodes can he really move the goalposts again?
Kim and Jimmy both rode a bus in this episode. They are spelling it out right in front of you.

Not making excuses, but with Saul essentially flipping Kim off with “Have a nice life” … he was masking unfathomable hurt with Kim leaving him.
As someone said, Saul Goodman is not a transformed man, he’s a broken man.
And I don’t put total stock in Chuck McGill’s assessment of his younger brother. Sure he was Slippin’ Jimmy with some con in him but that did not totally define him at the time.
I miss good ole Jimmy McGill. Sure he was a big part con man but a complex character. There was a small chance he could have had a productive and happy life with Kim, but of course Kim had her demons too.
Due in large part to the deep and powerful hurt from losing the woman he loved, Saul Goodman takes full control and James Morgan McGill is no more. And Saul Goodman is full-on evil.

Forgot to add that Burnett figuring out he's Saul was very rushed. I actually lol at that scene.

I don't see him being arrested as with one episode left there isn't time for much of anything beyond him going away in cuffs and I don't see them ending that weakly.
I still think we’ll see Kim meet Saul in a scene where each of these former lawyers and former partners are both on opposite sides of glass or bars.
That seems to be the setup behind Kim coming clean. Once Jimmy is locked up, Kim gets closure. Slippin Jimmy gets what he deserves.

PS: If he killed Carol with the phone cord right then and there it would have been the Hank getting killed moment of series.
Turns out Ham getting his theory killed is the Hank moment of the series.

Very disappointed in the baw Kim is hooked up with. Not her type at all as intelligence seems lacking.
She rejected her prior life. Could not stand to even see herself in the mirror so she dyed her hair, and gained weight caring about boring trivial shite. The writers seem to have a basic understanding of human psychology. When you hate yourself, you lose respect for yourself.

He wouldn't have been admitted to the bar if he had a felony conviction.
And I find it hard to believe he'd be the first 15 returns for that. Its never been mentioned in the series he was a convicted Con Man.
Con man is short for confidence man.
Aka con artist.
Aka grifter, swindler, etc
Saul has been a con artist since his days in Cicero all the way to his current grift in Omaha.
I agree that searching askjeeves for "Albuquerque con man" was not likely to lead her to Saul but she is an old lady and probably searched past page 1 and eventually found something on page 13.

That scene was throwing a bone to BB fans but it did a nice job of connecting the two universes.
Without that interaction between Jesse and Kim they may have found a different lawyer when Badger got popped and we would have never met Saul.
Since it is prediction time, I bet Saul goes on the run, can't reach vacuum guy (isn't he dead in real life?), calls Kim in a panic, finds out she confessed, he turns himself in, goes to prison, helps his fellow inmates with their appeals and parole hearings.
Has anyone from either show ended up in prison? Seems like they all died or disappeared.

After the events of Heisenberg, I would imagine the ABQ media would be doing all sorts of in depth reporting on Saul Goodman and his history. It would include his life as Jimmy in Illinois and ABQ, probably what he did to Irene, etc. IMO, it is very conceivable he would be called a con man in Albuquerque by this time.
I wonder if the show will end with a 4th and final iteration of Jimmy. From Jimmy to Saul to Gene and then finally to Vikor St. Claire, someone completely irredeemable. If they were going that direction he probably would have killed someone in this past episode, but who knows.
