Are they closing the theater for a while to change everything? I can't find any showtimes starting tomorrow and their last features tonight are in the 6:30-7:30 window.

Is Rave failing?

Not sure how.

But apparently on the wiki they are liquidating bigtime.

Or did they grow too big too fast and debt payments are killing them.

Just called and talked to a girl that said they are going through their Rave to AMC transition and would have showtimes tomorrow starting around 3pm.
She said nothing is online yet but I'm guessing times will be posted on AMC site starting tomorrow.

This, grew too big at a bad time. Built their theaters on land whose value has collapsed.

I was pretty bummed when I found out about this a few weeks ago. I really liked the Rave theaters...but if AMC treats them anything like they did The Palace theaters in NOLA, it's going to suck big time.

How do you think an AMC dine-in feature would pan out in BR?

I went the AMC dine-in at Disney and thought it was pretty cool.. Have been wondering why one hasn't popped up...

It seems not to be a single location, but the entire business.

I guess it's time to build a new theater.

Nooooooo!

Rave was quite good. Good screens and audio. Nice seating and orientation to the screen. This kind of sucks.

Why would that change all of a sudden?

Audio and Visual contracts quite likely. It also means the company as a whole is failing.

The comment was more in line with the overall company, not necessarily the two theaters in BR.

2 of the 3 Raves here in Birmingham got sold to Carmike - which blows cause i hate carmike.

Rave uses Christie Digital projectors, and unless the buyers have the same contract the equipment is yanked and replaced with whatever the buy uses contractually.

AMC is awesome at least up here in DC area.

Sign up for the stubs program... You get free upgrades of coke and popcorn, pay for medium but get a large for example.

For every 100$ you spend you get 10$ back
