The fact that only one person has mentioned The Accused makes me think not many people have seen it.
I never saw the movie till a couple of years ago, but I was SHOCKED considering when it was made and the length and detail they went into showing a forcible group rape in the middle of a public bar and the fact that it was Jodie Foster.
The movie is not great, and pretty typical 80s cheesy imo, but that scene is disturbing a shite.
Also, Boys Don't Cry has to get a mention here.

Yep, it was pretty brutal. In its own way a little "creepier" than Irreversible. Both were pretty disturbing.

Kate Bosworth's character gets raped by Alexander Skarsgard in Straw Dogs. Pretty disturbing, but not as bad as Dragon Tattoo or The Accused.

I watched it when I was 15 or so and it was disturbing to say the least. Not only is it in a public bar on a pinball machine, but it's a gang rape and witnesses were cheering the shite on.
