I wish he would follow through on Star Trek.

Would be incredible.

Gonna be about a perfectly normal movie director who murders all his critics and people who said it was weird that he liked feet and kept writing parts for himself to say the N word.

Tarantino revenge porn is getting more targeted.

Yeah I always imagined he would later just say that Kill Bill counts as one movie

He's already said that. Otherwise OUaTiH would've been #10 already.

Lol at everyone complaining. Just remember that OUATIH was announced originally as a Manson murders movie, but of course over time we found out it was much much more. I’m curious what genre it’s going to be. I know Tarantino said he would love to make a horror movie if he had a good idea for one.

Does anybody actually think he’ll stop with this one? I’ve never believed that would happen.

I think credibility is important to him and he is still salty about how he will forever be linked to Harvey. Just because he stops directing films doesn't mean he can't produce, collaborate with others on scripts and kind of "pay it forward" by spotting/developing talent from the seat of a production company. QT is going to be 60 in 12 days. Maybe he pivots to stage productions? He's so dialogue driven, it would be relatively easy IMHO.

I will remind you that before "Once Upon" was filmed everyone reported that Q was making a Charles Manson bio pic.

Movie about a TV star and his stunt man friend with the Manson family among the supporting cast

Kill Bill Vol. 3 must be done. It simply must

I agree the premise he had could still work. I grew up watching old Kung Fu movies and Kill Bill is my favorite of his.

Considering he has said Kill Bill 1 & 2 are actually a single movie. He could be coy and say that Kill Bill 3 is really just a continuation of one long multi-generational epic ala Boyhood.

Yeah my bad, I think what I meant to say there was that he would do something similar to that in order to have an excuse to make more than 10 movies

Didn't QT hate Pauleen Kael?

Yes but he really hates the former Los Angeles Times critic (Sheila Benson). He even went on Kimmel to bad mouth her after her death.

I just don't see this female critic movie happening because of his past behavior towards female movie critics.

No

He cites her as one of his greatest influences and idols in terms of understanding films.

quote:

Tarantino read New Yorker film critic Pauline Kael’s 1980 book at 16 and, according to a 1992 interview with Positif, “[I] thought, ‘Someday maybe I’ll be able to understand a movie like she does.’”

quote:

In interviews, Tarantino has talked about how he devoured Kael's reviews when he was a young film student and was inspired by her willingness to take on established critical opinions and champion films that other critics overlooked or dismissed. He has also credited Kael with helping to shape his understanding of cinema as an art form that can be both intellectually stimulating and emotionally thrilling.

Seems like Tarantino might be making his last film's subject an homage to the person he respects deeply for opening his eyes to his unique way of seeing films.

Which Im sure in classic QT fashion, it wont be your typical biopic.

As far as their work goes, I'd say their 3 best were

1. Milenko
2. Riddlebox
3. Jeckel

I know Quentin personally - THIS is the correct answer (maybe).

He will make one more film but he has no intention on working into his 60s.

He will NEVER shoot a movie in digital and he wants to end before he get old and starts making dumb films like the Fabelmans or Avatar 3.

He also mentioned becoming a full time novelist, if I remember correctly? Which I think he would be more inclined to do with the refusal to use digital. Also much easier for him to be a writer and stay at home to spend time with his wife/kids

That’s the three I was listening to.

My order depends on my mood. But those are the top three no doubt.

I'm a fan, but there's a little bit of hit and miss with his movies for me.

Inglorious Bastards, Once Upon a Time In Hollywood, Pulp Fiction, True Romance, Reservoir Dogs, and Dusk Till Dawn are great movies...

I wasn't a big fan of the Kill Bill or Death proof/Grindhouse movies.

One thing with all of his movies, it's going to have a great soundtrack. To me, that's part of the appeal of his movies.

His music perfectly fits the time period of the movies.
