I never understood the academy award hatred. Some actors get
Annoying but whatever.
To those who missed the opening you missed a supremely kick arse intro from queen. “We are the champions”. Brian may certainly hasnt lost anything. Rocked the house down!

Huge Queen fan, but they played the two least rocking Queen songs and Adam Lambert sung it like a great karaoke singer. Was hoping for Bohemiam Rhapsody in to Hammer to Fall.

Yeah. Was fun seeing out of touch Hollywood elites sing “we are the champions.” I’m sure that song was planned on purpose.

Hammer to Fall sounded awesome at Live Aid. I was a little disappointed in the studio version, but that song rocks, especially live.

So who is that guy that they cut to that was straight up rocking out during We Will Rock You? It wasn’t a very long cut, and from what I gather it looked like Patrick Warburton, but I couldn’t imagine why he would be invited to the Oscars, nor be sitting that close.

I hadn't seen Brian May for a few years and it struck me that at times he looked a lot like James May...
Google tells me they are not related but there seems to be ongoing speculation that they share a father.
They are both science geeks but Brian with his PhD in astrophysics has a better CV.
James can also play guitar and studied music in college.
