I thought it was ok to good, but definitely not great. All the different alien types in the quantum realm seemed like a nod to Star Wars and again, they were decent, but not outstanding..

One thing that I thought they missed on was the core nature of Kang. He is a conqueror. Seems like here they had him wiping out other timelines. I can see that with the He who Remains version, but the prime Kang is about ruling. He'd try to conquer and rule as many realms as possible, not wipe them out. IIRC, one quote from the comics was that he has conquered a "thousand, thousand worlds, and more." I can see him trying to kill his variants, but not their worlds.

Another thing is that they haven't really shown yet that his most notable attribute is his will power and his will to win. That's why he has, on occasion, proven an interesting ally when humanity itself was threatened.

We watched this on Disney yesterday. It was a solid meh. Majors as Kang was not good. Still don't see what the hype is about him as an actor.

Movie was decent. The concept of the quantum realm is cool. Definitely not Marvel’s worst movie.

Disney couldn’t help but shove in the woke crap though. Can’t help themselves.

I made the mistake of watching Dungeons and Dragons and Quantumania back to back and the Ant Man movie suffered greatly in the comparison. One was a fun fantasy adventure and the other was a lesson in how to do too much. What a waste of Bill Murray.

yeah that cameo was quite lame and pointless

but I'm not going to say he's a dud

maybe not but they didn't do a good job of establishing as this major threat either. We know he likes to conquer things and talks about time a lot...that's about all they established

oh yeah and the one that's supposed to be the baddest version of them all just got his arse whipped by ant man, his daughter, some wilderness people, and a bunch of ants? Cool cool cool....

People keep mentioning the ants, but they were far advanced ants that lived a thousand years in 1 day or whatever exactly that time comparison was. Them being a formidable foe isn't that far fetched, though the way they attacked Kang was nothing short of the age old seek and destroy.

I liked the idea of the quantum realm, but I didn't care for all of the shite they had there. Felt like Marvel was just trying to turn up the weird factor for no reason.

The idea that Janet has said nothing about the entire population and environment of quantum realm is ridiculous given everything involving Ant-Man & Endgame.

Pheifer looked beautiful, so that was a huge plus. But how the hell did they make here that gorgeous yet simultaneously make Evangeline Lilly unattractive?!?!?! Seriously that takes actual intention and talent to make Lilly not very appealing

The daughter was fricking horrible. Her entire character in this movie was horribly written.

Majors was great as Kang.

I guess but is that really the way you want your new big bad to go out in his debut?

Sure Thanos sat on his arse for a bit but then 5 minutes into his actual first movie he beats the ever living shite out of the Hulk.

Making Kang the big bad of an ant man movie was a huge mistake

Who is even currently an Avenger? Are there any? It’s odd to me we’re this far in since Endgame and they’ve advanced things so little

It seems like they’re treading water until we get X-men and fantastic four

That might be me being optimistic though
