But it always seemed like it was some idiot throwing out "facts/predictions" and nothing sticks, and then when something finally happens that they "predicted," it's hailed as some truth bomb even though the last ten things didn't.
That’s pretty much the gist, yeah. What’s most interesting to me are the influencer personalities who have emerged around this otherwise crazy arse conspiracy theory. Its a really fascinating confluence of a conspiracy theory meeting the right generation of media and communication technology to give it the legs that it grew.

Agreed. All of these youtube hosts, politicians, and fringe TV personalities saw an opportunity to make money or increase their name recognition and drove this fringe thing into the mainstream. Going to be interesting to see how we react as a society to the continued popularization of theories that are not based in any fact but have real world consequences like what happened this year with the capital being stormed

Expectedly, some real weirdos behind the sites that launched Q. Jim especially.
Posted on 4/19/21 at 8:46 pm to crazyLSUstudent
The most interesting and baffling aspect of Q came down to this one question: "If all of this is a secret, then how do you know about it? What is the purpose of leaking the pending overthrow of the government?"
And the Q disciples would always screw their face up at that one. And the half arse answer was something like: "Well, Q has decided to enlighten a few of us. And our job is to prepare the Normies out there for what is about to happen. And be a source of stability and calm for when the chaos envelopes the country."
And that shite made absolutely no fricking sense whatsoever.
So if the basic premise is preposterous, shouldn't that be a clue that the whole thing was preposterous?

Yet, it had a 100k+ page thread on politics board. Concerning stuff

Considering that it is widely acknowledged now that it was a scam all along... it is am amazing how many people bought into it. The more out there it got, the more people bought into it. It is the real time proof of the double down problem. You've bought in. Then the first result is false. You could cut your losses but then you would have to admit you are wrong. So you double down on the next prediction which is even more outlandish. It is like gambling. "I'm going to win back all my losses on the next roll of the dice!"
Yep
I feel the same thing is going on with people and COVID19 now. So many people still operating like it’s March 2020 and our learning hasn’t evolved about the virus.

Is it gone?
I think it should be archived. It's a fascinating insight into some people.

Purportedly it was the longest continuous Q thread on the internet.
People will believe some crazy shite and by that, I mean most people when it is something they want to be true. Q made it about light and dark, good and evil and everyone wants to be the good guys. When Q made Hillary out to be someone eating babies (or sucking adrenochrome etc) it was something they so wanted to be true. With that truth everything to combat it becomes righteous.
Q told people you are special, you are enlightened, you have an important job in the coming storm which appeals to a helluva lot of people.
Do you want to play a game? Hells yeah everyone loves a game and being intellectually challenged to decipher the Nostradamus type clues. Want me to tell you all liberals are child trafficking pedophiles so you can think of them as sub-human. Yes, please make my hatred warranted and any actions I take justified.
There are people still hanging onto the sunk cost. There are people that in all seriousness will tell you Biden is not the president and the military is running the country today. Some others feel completely duped and acknowledge it and some others argue even if it was a LARP it was to open our eyes and teach us to do our own research.
I find it all fascinating but acknowledge that most anyone is capable of going down the rabbit hole if the promised revelation is a reality they desperately seek.

teach us to do our own research.
It was clearly devised by a post PhD level psychologist or MD level psychiatrist. Most elements were old school scam chain letter stuff going back decades. The only really new twist was the "put in the work" and "connect the dots" research they conned people into doing. It increased the sunk cost theory exponentially. Once people invested time, they were hooked. And the model exploded.
fricking brilliant.
I hope the guys behind it write a book one day. Whomever they are.

Been out for a while at this point, but it did just finish airing a couple weeks ago. I didn’t know what Q was before going in, and I found it pretty informative.

Bluetards care about that shite more than anybody else now.

Is that what you call the folks over at greatawakening because this was a thread title from 4 hours ago: "Survey Says - 20-23% in US Now Believe in Q!!". People in the thread are arguing that is far lower than reality. This is another of dozens of Q posts today: "Did you catch it? Trump says 17 times on Hannity interview. This was Trump's communication to us that the plan is progressing just fine."

The Q thread got removed from public access at the same time they removed the 2016 and 2020 election boards from public access. Prior to that you could go back and peruse the 2016 board. I tried to back door the 2020 election forum but it isn't just the link that is removed it is actual access.
I am sure it is archived somewhere in a Hamster's brain but "we" can't see it.

What happened here at TD was that some Admins got caught up in Q. They protected the thread. You couldn't talk bad about it on any other board.
People who could think for themselves were telling the board that Q was crazy and dangerous but again it was protected because admins were believers.
It really exposed the lack of intelligence on the poli board.

People still believe Sydney Powell after she said everything she said about q was a lie. But here everything she said was gospel.

It's OK. We all know you were a Qtard.

I felt that was the entire reason they kept the election board open so long. Knowing they could keep the really crazy stuff there then delete the entire thing. Was really smart.
