I mean, that’s a lot of the story right there.
The ship is not what I imagined in my brain while reading.
I’m definitely all in with this movie. It’s gonna make a shite ton of money.

The narrator Ray Porter is one of the best I’ve listened to and this is his best work in my opinion.
He also does all of Jack Carrs books.

and he does the Bobiverse series.

He is great for the Bobiverse. Just bought the hardcover for book 1 they just released. To the trailers, I was surprised by the Rocky reveal at first but I think they wanted to avoid people thinking it was The Martian or even Interstellar

Here is another everything trailer.
In the book the Rocky reveal was mind-blowing and really elevated the story from 'OK' to amazing, or should I say "amaze amaze amaze!"
Non-book readers who see the trailers will certainly miss out on that moment.
Andy Weir says spoiling Project Hail Mary's big surprise in trailers was highly debated

I don't see how you talk about or market this movie without mentioning Rocky. He's in like 75% of the book.

I guess it was needed. Otherwise people are goijg to the think the astronauts are way more important thant they really were. Someone asked why Milan Vayntrub is in this but it really shouldn't test her acting skills
