Since all the "good" adults (Dumbledore, McGonagall, Molly and Arthur Weasley, Rosemerta, even Snape) knew Sirius Black was innocent; why do they keep talking about Sirius as if he is a dangerous criminal? Even when they are talking among themselves when they aren't aware Harry is listening in (the pub at Hogsmeade)? Why not at least pull Harry aside and tell him "things aren't always what they seem? Seems like lazy writing to create or maintain drama when it doesn't need it.

They don’t. Sirius secretly switched with Peter Pettigrew to be the Secret Keeper for the Potters. The only ones who knew were Wormtail, Lily, James, Sirius, and Voldemort. Even Dumbledore didn’t know, which while there are several plot holes in this story that I let slide since the overall story is really good, doesn’t make much sense. You’d think Dumbledore or Crouch in the very least would have questioned Sirius since even JKR admitted Sirius would have agreed to being questioned with Veritaserum.

He blamed himself for talking Harry’s parents into using Peter instead of him so felt like he deserved prison. He didn’t break out to try and live free, he did it to get to Peter who he saw was still in hiding. The authorities had who they thought did it and who admitted as much (in his eyes). It’s not really a plot hole.

Lupin knew. And how did Sirius know Pettigrew was in hiding? He couldn't have known that until AFTER he escaped prison.

Lupin did not know. Sirius convinced the Potters to change to Peter on his own purposely not telling anyone because they knew there was a Mole in the order. He apologizes to Lupin in the shrieking shack for not trusting him

Sirius saw a picture of the weasleys in Africa and Peter was in the photo. That’s how he knew.

Nope

Fudge gave him an issue of the Daily Prophet when he passed by his cell when he asked for it. In it it was shown that the Weasley’s won a vacation to Egypt and Ron was holding “Scabbers.” He immediately recognized the rat as Wormtail. Then Sirius escaped.

Did they reference that in the movie? I don't remember.

Also, shouldn't Sirius be a werewolf now after fighting Lupin outside the Whomping Willow? You see he is hurt by Lupin as he stumbles off into the bushes.

They did reference Lupin thinking Sirius betrayed the Potters. Which is why they hug it out and he apologizes for thinking that of him.

I don’t think it was from a bite. But maybe so. That was a movie decision I think. In the book Sirius gets hurt when Lupin drags him below the tree his leg gets caught in a root and breaks.

Def the best film of the series. Makes me wonder what we could have gotten had Cuarón directed the entire series.

I think if we’re able to gloss over the fact that a grown man dressed as a rat was sleeping in the bedroom of a young boy for years, we can get through any plots holes as well.

I never thought of that. That does add a bit of an uncomfortable flavor to the story.

Yeah, you start thinking through the logical inconsistencies in Harry Potter, it really all falls apart. It’s such a great story though that in order it for it to work you just got to let it slide.

Now… Harry ending up with Ginny over Luna or Hermione… no.

Don't think it works that way. Bill Weasley was bitten by Fenrir and just got a bit hairy and developed a love for rare steaks.

It worked better in the book imo. They had absolutely zero chemistry in the movie. Bonnie was just a bad actress and Daniel doesn’t seem to connect with female actress. I was cool with Ginny in the book ending up with Harry.

It was the best looking but the others had more actions and his power grew there.

It was a really good movie but they deviated from the book in the end that let me down.

They also didn't delve into the backstory that James, Sirius and Peter all became "Animagus's" in order to protect Lupin when he changed into a werewolf and they were also the creators of the Marauders Map.

The most messed up part of the books and movies once you stop and think about the implications are the love potions the Weasley twins sell at their shop. It’s basically wizard rape candy.
