Has anyone watched this movie? The trailer for Good Boy (2025) reminded me of this movie since it's a horror movie shot from a unique perspective.
Opinions on r/horror were highly divisive, so curious to hear the board's thoughts on this one. I thought some of the dialogue was painful and a couple acting performances were questionable, but I really enjoyed the twist at the end.

I wanted to like this movie, and I sorta did, but there were issues I had with it.
First, the only likable person in this movie was the dad. The mom was in some kind of trouble she caused (never got a resolution on what it was). The kids were awful.
But my biggest complaint was it wasn't scary. I wouldn't call it a horror movie, and since you put spoilers, not much of a ghost story.
The twist at the end did help it.

Agree with all of your points.
The issue with the mother (it seemed like some sort of white-collar crime) not getting resolved was annoying, but I guess you could argue that it never gets resolved because the story is about the ghost and him trying to figure out his purpose (i.e., to save his sister). Nothing else the ghost witnesses matters in the end.
But yeah, very frustrating for the audience.
Supposedly the film A Ghost Story (2017) does this concept a bit better? I haven't seen it.

Actually saw this in theatre in January when it first came out and enjoyed it. Liked the twist at the end, that blood curdling scream the mom lets out at the end sent chills down my spine. I agree it shouldnt really be labeled as horror, though
