Across 110th Street was made for the movie of the same name, but I always think of Jackie Brown when I hear it.

Yello - Oh Yeah!

I'm sure it's been used in other movies but anytime I hear it I immediately think of Ferris.
Yeah, that's a good one but I always remember it from The Secret of My Succe$s

The Entertainer - The Sting (may sound like a stretch because it was written in 1902, but Scott Joplin's music was popular and important enough at one time to still be included in college music survey classes). The Sting plucked it out of history and made it mainstream again.

Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head - Butch and Sundance

In '87, Huey released this, Fore, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself.

I would also say William Tell Overture is pretty much forever locked up by the Lone Ranger also...but hell I didn't even know how many people even know or think of that piece as anything OTHER than the Lone Ranger theme anyway.

Sadly singing in the rain might now be more synonymous with Clockwork than the actual singing in the rain.
