I’ve got a 6 year old son. Will probably see it Sunday. Sounds like another pretty good offering from Pixar with their typical formula of emotional family bonds.

This can be the spoiler/review thread. I’ll update the title once we get them in.

It's fine. Nowhere near Pixar's best. Fun to see something different instead of a sequel. Not as funny or emotionally impactful as other Pixar films IMO. Trailer gave too much away.

Does Pixar make any movie that is considered less than "pretty good"?

That seems to be their floor.

Cars 2 should have been straight to streaming.

ETA: and cars 3 was really good. But fewer people saw it because 2 was so bad.

Interesting, I haven't seen Cars 2 or 3, just the first.

Good to know.

Still their batting average is like .950 or something. They pump out some bangers.

No doubt. I’m a huge Pixar fan. Good dinosaur falls on the edge too. The story has its moments but you could tell 3 or 4 people had a hand in the story. It had a ton of production issues. It had so much potential but just turned out to be “pretty good”. It’s the only other one that anyone would put on that lower level. I don’t. But people do and they’re justified.

The Good Dinosaur is probably the least good of the Pixar movies. I haven’t watched it since it’s theatrical release.

Only smug uppity people who are very BLUE don’t like Cars.

My 6 y.o. won't be watching Disney's gay pushing agenda.

WOW

Imagine being so obsessed with politics that you think a movie about talking cars divides people on political lines

I didn’t care for Cars 3. And it was way too girl powery for my taste. I actually did kinda like Cars 2 though. Maybe I’m in the minority.

I will say that Cars 3 was gorgeous though. And I liked The Good Dinosaur as well, but it was definitely one of Pixar’s weakest efforts. But that movie was fricking gorgeous too. It looked realistic in some scenes.

Cars was a great franchise. People can’t stop sniffing their farts enough to appreciate it.

Just watched Onward. Great movie. Simple adventure story with a lot of heart. The last 20 minutes or so got me all up in my feels.

Thought it was solid. Not Pixar’s best and will probably be forgotten but I enjoyed it a lot

Yeah I don’t see any new Pixar movie being forgotten with Disney Plus being a thing now.

Also Brave is probably down there with TGD.

I’d say this is better than Brave and TGD
