Yeah, that's my problem with Rogue One. If it weren't for the final Vader shot, I don't think you would be seeing a lot of love for it.

Make that movie stand on its own 2 feet and you have a movie with too many characters, flat characters, and an exhausting and a convoluted 3rd act

Something he mentions that pisses me off even more is why didn't they just let Akbar kill himself in the suicide hyperjump instead of Laura freaking Dern

I try not ot harp on it but I agree with this article. I thought the pontificating and speech making was so incredibly out of place with the OT.
