I bought the 4k criterion during Barnes and Noble sale last month. I've never seen it and the criterion came with multiple cuts of the film. For those that know what's the best version to watch?

This has got to be a first. You bought multiple versions of a 50+ year old movie that you’ve never seen.
And instead of watching it, you come here to ask what to do next.
How long will you wait to get an answer that is satisfactory?

I'm the first person to ever buy a movie they've never seen? Brother you don't want to see how many criterions I bought last month that I've yet to watch.
And much like Blade Runner and Apocalypse Now have multiple cuts I was hoping someone that saw the different versions might have an opinion. If no one responds I will probably check Reddit. If I like one cut I might then watch the others to see what is different. I've read that the "preview cut" is as close to the directors cut that exists but might not be better than one of the other versions.
Either way thanks for responding with this great input.

Watch the one that says press play to watch?

Watch the "Hibbing Preview Cut". This contains all of Bob Dylan's deleted scenes, including the ax handle fight with Skim Pickens & the funeral where he recites Shakespeare's "Ages Of Man" speech over Billy's grave.

No, it makes total sense as you say IMO, it just looks funny summarized in the way he did. . I’d do the same thing you did.

Any versions beyond those are catch as catch can.
My oldest son gave me a boxed set of Blade Runner with multiple versions. It’s a favorite. I love the unnarrated version, but I’m partial to the theatrical release.
That’s generally true for most. Say what you want about the director’s cut and their vision and so on, but the director and editor put out a product in the marketplace that failed or succeeded. Any subsequent cuts should be evaluated in that framework. IMHO.

How to remove a DVD from its case:

I would like to see a modern recreation of this movie. Or some Billy the Kid Biopic.
I watched a movie a while back called Old Henry. I thought it was decent. I'd almost like to see one done by Taylor Sheridan.

Same situation as you a few weeks ago. I did the Final Cut first and enjoyed it. Hope you like it, shot up my rankings as one of my favorites after viewing.

I’m trying like hell to knock all mine out before football season starts. Trying to watch that Jack Nicholson Western combo set tonight.
