You don't think those YouTube channels that you constantly watch and donate money to have a agenda?

It’s all rage bait, either lie or twist the truth enough or make a small story seem much bigger and play it to a certain audience and boom you got a grifter. It’s why people like Critical Drinker suck so hard now. Someone who used to be able to give decently substantial movie and show reviews now just whines about “woke”. It’s likely not because he became “enlightened” it’s because he saw how profitable it was.

Whether its Disney race swapping or YouTubers whining about wokeism, both are done in because they believe it’s what will get them more money

If he can look at this cast and see Woke DEI agenda then he can find the woke agenda in anything he wants. There are multiple roles where they couldve used anyone for the voice and picked a white male. How DEI of them

DEI is just another CRT to scare certain people

Obviously not the same thing but something that’ll get the grifters that Kaiju watches more clicks

I don't deny that it's likely going to be a dumb decision that was made and it likely won't be a good movie.
But I'll at least give it a chance with an optimistic viewpoint going into it.
I do'nt want to dislike movies or shows that revolve around characters and source material i like. I want them to be good, and will give them a chance and I'll form my opinion after watching them.

The reality is no one here knows whether they're going to further expand on SS and to assume one way or another is premature.

What I do know is Shalla-Bal is part of comic canon. Galactus has been cast as well (also canon). And Julia Garner is an excellent actress, so I look forward to anytime she's on the screen.

I also wouldn't be surprised if they're holding off on Norrin Radd if they're planning on doing multiple F4 movies and crossing universes.

Weird pivot to something completely irrelevant to the discussion.

You may see yourself out of the thread now.

Not mad at everything, just the things which warrant it. Movies & shows are being put out to force feed an agenda & not respect the source material. That’s point that many seem to pretend isn’t happening. Still. But some are starting to come around.

You aren't even giving them a chance. and you aren't even watching them.
You don't even want to like them.

We all know there's agenda's in them. You think agenda's in movies and shows just started recently?
As long as they aren't taking away from good story telling, I can more often than not overlook them. ANd they sometimes will take away from the story, but if they only do it for a 5% of the show or movie, then so what. Yeah it's aggravating, and i'll bitch about it just like I did with the gay kid on Agatha, but I didn't let it take away the enjoyment of the show overall. You simply didn't even watch it b/c of that, and missed out on a pretty decent show.

So, you're telling ME, one who has watched every Fantastic Four movie, 12 of 14 X-Men movies (minus Dark Phoenix and New Mutants) every Spiderman movie, a total of 22 of 23 MCU movies, from Iron Man (2008) to Spider - Man Far From Home (2019) , and then also Spider-Man No Way Home (2021), you're saying I should 'give them a chance'???

That's fricking hilarious. I GAVE them more than a chance. Then they rattled off Shang-Chi, The Eternals and freaking The Marvels. They are so far off the path, I can't be bothered to go look for them.

But glad you enjoyed Agatha, at least. All 1 season of it.

I don't keep up with what you watch and don't watch. I assume you don't watch anythign, as you basically let us know you don't watch anything.

Are you telling me you're going to watch this Fantasitc Four movie?

Yeah, and I tell everyone WHY. Except some here don't want to listen. They can't accept the reasons given.

IDK. Like Joker 2, which I was willing to give a chance, it depends on reviews. The general word of mouth vibe, which tends to be more right than wrong. I'm also not a great fan of Pedro Pascal. I think he's poorly cast as Reed Richards. Can he act the part? Probably. He's as miscast as Jessica Alba was as Sue Storm and I do love me some Jessica Alba.

I would agree, but most people love him for some reason. The only thing i've ever known him from is a show in which he doesn't show his face, and most of the time wasn't even him under the helmet. Whatever else he's famous from I haven't watched.
Oh and I just saw him in Gladiator 2, which by the way was rather terrible and he was not good in.

I heard even Denzel Washington was bad in Gladiator 2, which seems hard to believe.

But yeah, Pedro checks a bunch of boxes for Hollywood, so he's getting all the parts now. I suspect his star will be setting before too long. He's fine, but damn, not nearly the draw many think.

No one was good in that movie as an actor except the guy that played Lucius, and his character was not written well at all but he's the only one that seemed to perform well from an acting standpoint.
Denzel was not good in it.

It’s not about accepting it, it’s about your reasoning being retarded. If I see a show or movie I don’t like I simply don’t watch it. At most I would say it just doesn’t look good. I certainly wouldn’t rant about something I never saw and I certainly wouldn’t let some neckbeard on YouTube tell me how to think

Somehow you keep missing the point, and I think it's done intentionally. Unlike you, many fans want to watch some level of quality, and not just some schlock tossed out on the screen like slop in a trough.

I comment on the things that are of interest to me. When some studio decides to ruin it for 'current day reasons', and cheat me and other longtime fans out of a project we'd otherwise be excited to watch, hell yeah I'm speaking out.

You can thank fans for fixing the look of Sonic.

If your line of thinking ruled the world, we'd never have gotten a proper version of Sonic. But fans spoke out, to such a degree that the studio decided they needed a fix, and thankfully so.

Complaining about the design of Sonic in a trailer isn’t remotely the same as what you do. You don’t need to have waited for the movie to come out to know that the design sucked. Also the complaints were just that the design of Sonic was awful. You complain entirely about movies you never see

And I don't need to see the full movie to know it's going to suck. Just as folks saw the design of Sonic was nightmare fuel, many said that Joker 2 would be terrible simply off of REPORTS of it being a musical.

On that info alone, I didn't pull the chord on it. I still saw ways in which that could work. But no one knew beforehand that they were intentionally trying to ruin the Joker character from the 1st movie. Because seriously, who would think a studio would ever WANT to do such a thing? But that's exactly what happened.

And having SEEN Joker, there were reasonable expectations of what could/should be with a sequel. So yeah, I kinda knew what I was talking about. Yet again.
