is a historical romance drama television series that serves as a prequel to the television series Outlander (2014–present), which is based on the book series of the same name by Diana Gabaldon.
The series follows the parents of both protagonists from the original series, Jamie Fraser and Claire Beauchamp. Jamie's parents in 18th century Scotland are played by Harriet Slater as Ellen MacKenzie and Jamie Roy as Brian Fraser. Claire's parents in World War I are played by Hermione Corfield as Julia Moriston and Jeremy Irvine as Henry Beauchamp.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood premiered on Starz on August 8, 2025. The first season of the series is set to run for ten episodes. In June 2025, the series was renewed for a second season ahead of the series premiere.
I got the 12 dollars for twelve months STARZ deal posted on here.
Just finished the first season, they definitely toned down the sex and nudity and r@pe compared to the original. It's a good watch, Jamie isn't in the picture yet but Claire is, she is a young girl like 5 or so.
The final season of the original will be out next year.

The wife and I watched it. I liked it well enough. They did a good job casting Claire’s mom and Jamie’s dad. Both look very similar to their onscreen offspring.

I liked the clan scheming a lot, and seeing young Dougal and Murtagh. In general I don’t find the Brian and Ellen love story interesting but I like the drama it caused.
I know book readers are pissed that Claire’s parents traveled because it isn’t book canon but I really liked their storyline. Julia and Claire are very much the same.
Almost sort of feel bad for poor Malcolm.

Claire didn't have a brother in the original series, not sure about the books.

Ending kind of sucked. Would have at least got to see what happened to Julia and Henry.
Dougal Was all in on Ellen getting married but, when it was his turn he wasn't so into it. Even though the Grant chick isn't exactly hideous and she VERY eager. I noticed there was no talk of her "virtue" . And she rode that thing like a professional.
The fires at the end, I kind of remember that from the original but, I wasn't sure what that meant, and/or what it meant for Brian Fraser.
